NEW film

Action Film/Photo's due next Monday November 10th. 

NEW FILM ASSIGNMENT:

Answer the following Question:

                          WHO AM I?
This will be a film for everyone.  I am going to give you each 2 weeks to do this assignment.  This assignment has the following criteria that you must put into your film. 

1-1st you will need to make a list of things that make up who you are.  Then decide how you can film those things.  Little snip bits of people doing certain things, objects, people (ones that may have influenced you in some way or another), nature, locations you like to hang out at and whatnot. 

2-The film can only be 2 minutes long!!!!!

3-You must include the following camera techniques:
                  -Close ups from different height levels
                  -3 different height levels at what ever distance you choose
                  -Focus changes (using the manual focus, looking at the same thing, change
                   focus while looking at the same thing)
                  -Panning and tilt
                  -Voice over with some audio (no lyrics)
                  -Dolly (would really like to see this used more-not a must, but try it out if
                   u can incorporate it)
                  -Using opacity when editing showing 2 scenes simultaniously while moving
                   from 1 scene to another
                  -BIGGEST THING- how can you make this look artistic and unique

SOOOOOOO.........timeframe:
             2 WEEKS- start thinking about it now.  Start filming it  by November 10th. 
             Have film completed by Tuesday November25th.

2:30-4/4:30 I will stay as long as you guys are there.  

When I go and take pictures:
I find something I want to take pics of (flowers of course)
1st I adjust my settings
2nd I find a flower amongst the group that I like the best
3rd I check the background to see that it is clear of distractions
4th I start taking photos
5th I take pictures from about 3-4 different angles of that flower (move up or down, in or out)
6th Keep repeating the process over and over again

Magazine Pages

Thank you guys for all of your hard work on the magazine pages.  I know you guys worked hard on these and put a lot of time into them and I really appreciate it.  I know some of you still have pages to make or edit.  If you do edit any pages you need to see Abbe and get them to her.  She is editing all pages so please give them to her.  She has an external hard drive that she can use to grab them off of your computer.  I hope you all have a great spring break.  Relax and enjoy your time off, see you in a week and a half.

Your Photography Assignment is to take photos of recycled goods in any way shape and form that portrays Reduce, Reuse, Recycle.  You need to come up with 3 different things to take photos of and take 20 pictures of each.  With a total of 60 photos.  All photos are due by Friday January 17th.  Be creative and use your imagination on what you can do with this assignment.

New Year, New Assignment!

Time to start coming up with ideas for the Hathaway Brown Film Festival.  I want these movie stories to be amazing.  You need to put some more thought and time into creating the actual story.  Not just scratching the surface of an idea.  Which means you will need to think DEEPER.  And brainstorm as a bigger group, get more input from those around you.  Here are the Categories/Rules/Guidelines and here are the winning films from last year that you can look up and watch on Youtube if you would like.  So...........let's get started!
